AFWL 2012 DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: VADIRA 7

Vadira7 is an indigenous brand that focuses on bridging the gap between functionality, creativity and the very essence of Africa. Vadira 7 latest Collection  is  called flourish. It was inspired during a road trip through the amazons in the Nigerian Niger Delta. The regal, sensual, fluid nature of the palm trees, inspired the ribbed nature of the Vadira Flourish Collection  jersey dresses. The silhouettes were rooted in the conventional, accentuating the hourglass curves of a woman that leaves a lasting suggestion towards the seductive.

The Ankara influence was loaded with leaves that are reminiscent of the branches of the palms but its bold colors speak of the strength of a woman contrasting with the lace infusion that connotes the delicacy of femininity. The quirky nature of the jackets expounds the unpredictability and fun nature of a woman.

 The palm tree inspired the Vadira-7 Collection because  its resilience and ability to weather the storm or the harsh weather speaks the consistency of inner strength and tenacity.
